Co-creating iiP in partnerships

invest in play® programmes are co-created in partnership with different countries to ensure cultural sensitivity and the best fit for families and communities.

Co-creating iiP programmes in your country

To provide a culturally relevant programme across diverse audiences, invest in play® offers to co-create iiP Core Parent Programme materials with communities who wish to adopt the programme. These adaptations are created in response to community needs and may be based on language, nationality, racial, ethnic and cultural context. The same co-creation process is used to develop supplementary modules for neurodiverse audiences such as autistic people or people with ADHD.

Each culturally relevant version of the iiP programme will be made available to all of the iiP community. This allows providers who work with diverse clients to provide culturally relevant interventions to a broader range of families.

The co-creation process includes:

  • Translation and adaptation of written iiP programme materials.
  • Co-creation of iiP programme videos locally.
  • Training of professionals to deliver the iiP programme.

Culturally sensitive materials

invest in play® Core Parent Programme Facilitator Manual, Videos and Parent Workbook are included in the training price and are available online after you have purchased the initial training. The iiP programme is  currently available in UK English, US English, Danish, Norwegian, Slovenian, Dutch, Icelandic and US Spanish. As additional language versions are co-created they will automatically be available for all trained facilitators to use.

Parent Book

The Six Bricks Parenting book is translated and culturally adapted in each country. It supports children and their caregivers using practical and compassionate strategies that have been proven to work over many decades. It provides an introduction to the Six Bricks for Kids and can be read on its own to provide a new framework for parent-child interactions.

It is also used as the text for our 12 week parent intervention.
